Four tales of magic spread across time.

What is Garedol?

Garedol was my first paracosm; my first fictional world. I wrote its first story back on October 4th, 2019. That first story, "The Adventures of Doris Monroe", has changed a lot from the original draft, now to the current story, "Doris in Wartime". Despite all the changes, however, this story is no less close to my heart.

The second story I wrote -- according to my memory -- was "The Jorougumo's Toy Hospital", a cozy tale inspired by Japanese folklore. Its main character, Hibiki, is still my favorite OC to this day. He's so precious.

The third story was another one that went through a lot of rewrites, and to this day, I still don't know what to do with it: "Luciminals". Inspired by my small hyperfixation with liminal spaces, I wanted to write a story related to them, but to this day, I still don't know how.

At last, came my fourth and final Tale of Garedol: "Two Acorns at Sea", which actually takes place long before the first three stories, back in Garedol's own Age of Privateering or whatever it was called (in-universe name still pending). Its main character, Connor, is another one of my favorite OCs, and if you read more about my stories, you'll see why.

Princess Doris has spent her whole life behind palace walls. As her 16th birthday approaches, she finally gains the courage to sneak outside to see the city below. In a time where the entire planet is at war, what awaits her?

The Jorougumo's Toy Hospital

After getting kicked out by his crazy mother, Hibiki Miyake must face a dangerous post-apocalyptic world alone. Or at least, that's what he thinks until a friendly Jorougumo -- spiderfolk -- named Agoa adopts him, bringing him to a world full of magic, completely unlike anything he knew before.

Luciminals

Jane Culpepper has always had a love for mysteries and cryptids. But on the border of a city where magic is scare, Jane now has to live with the consequences of becoming a magical being herself; the main one: being a pre-teen pariah in her own town. What's a girl to do?

Two Acorns at Sea

Connor Penn and Dionysus used to be close friends. That was a while ago now, and Connor has been suffering at boarding school, his only memory of his friend being a tiny acorn strung around his neck. One night, he decides enough is enough, and runs away out to sea to find Dionysus, who bears a matching acorn. Will the two acorns be reunited? Or will the ocean forever keep them apart?
