The first of the first. It's gone through so many names since I first wrote it. "The Adventures of Doris Monroe". "Urban Queen of Hearts". "Princess Doris and Company". And that's just a few. Currently, the name is "Princess Doris in Wartime", as I felt that name fit the vibe I want for the story as of right now.

Doris came into existance on October 4th, 2019, although her in-universe birthday is October 31st, or Halloween. This is no coincidence; I wrote her first story because I was in a Halloween-y mood.

The first draft of the story took place at an enchanted carnival, where Doris and her group of friends (which hasn't changed at all since 2019!) were tasked to climb a tower to reach a lantern at the top. I never finished that draft. Maybe once I'm done writing my main stories, I'll revisit the enchanted carnival, and see where it takes me.
